Developers submitted plans to build an ASC to the Auburn (N.H.) Planning Board, according to the New Hampshire Union Leader.

Here are five things to know:

1. Developers submitted plans for an access ambulatory medical facility, which will function primarily as an outpatient surgery facility.

2. The center will offer surgical services for orthopedics and ear, nose and throat.

3. The project has three phases, with the first phase constructing the main operating room, a backup operating room, equipment and patient bays as well as electrical and other utility spaces. The first phase will sit in the primary building and will be 7,300 square feet.

4. The other two phases will feature a 3,800 square-foot addition and physician offices.

5. The board accepted the application unanimously on Jan. 18, 2017. The board will review the plans again on Feb. 15, 2017, during a public hearing.
