Minneapolis-based Fairview Health Services and Atlas Healthcare Partners have formed a joint venture to develop and operate a network of ASCs across Minnesota and surrounding regions, according to an April 21 news release.
The partnership combines Fairview’s clinical infrastructure as a nonprofit health system with Atlas’s specialized experience in ASC development and operations. The venture aims to expand outpatient surgical capacity and strengthen physician alignment as more procedures shift from inpatient to outpatient settings.
Phoenix-based Atlas was founded in 2019 to partner with nonprofit health systems and physicians to develop and operate ASCs. It is the exclusive joint venture ASC partner of Banner Health, MultiCare, Corewell Health, ChristianaCare, Prisma Health and Fairview.
At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
