Ascension to sell ASC, hospital to New York clinic

St. Louis-based Ascension has reached an agreement to transfer ownership of its Binghamton, N.Y.-based Our Lady of Lourdes Memorial Hospital​ and its affiliated facilities, including an ASC, to the Sayre, Pa.-based Guthrie Clinic, according to a June 8 report from Spectrum News.

The transaction will include all of Lourdes’ services, facilities, providers and associates, including an ASC, a cancer center, a health and wellness center and a 24-hour care facility. 

The deal is expected to close by early 2024, subject to regulatory approvals. Guthrie and Lourdes will operate independently until then. 

No further details of the transaction have been released, according to the report.
