1. The 11,362-square-foot outpatient surgery center is owned and operated by Syed Samad, MD.

2. Dr. Samad opened the center in 1995.

3. He treats a variety of gastrointestinal issues including liver disease, abdominal pain, rectal bleeding and heartburn, among others. He specializes in performing colonoscopy, upper endoscopy and video capsule endoscopy.

4. Dr. Samad is an American College of Physicians, American College of Gastroenterology and American College of Gastroenterological Associates fellow.

5. Arkansas Surgery & Endoscopy Center has two locations in Little Rock and Pine Bluff.
