Anchor Health Properties acquired a 96,000-square-foot medical office building in Athens, Ga.
Here's what you should know:
1. Atlanta-based Piedmont Healthcare anchors the building.
2. Piedmont runs its regional outpatient operations out of the building.
3. Piedmont physicians provide an array of services, including women's care, pediatrics, imaging and diagnostic services.
4. Anchor acquired the building through a joint venture with a Morgan Stanley Real Estate affiliate.
5. Anchor Health Properties CEO Ben Ochs said, "[The acquisition] brings Anchor's ownership and operations to the Atlanta metropolitan area and broader Georgia markets for the first time. We are excited to grow our investment management portfolio and launch a presence in a new market that we hope to expand throughout over time.”
