Arkansas Valley Surgery Center in Canon City, Colo., permanently closed April 24, according to a notice posted by the facility’s website.

The AmSurg-affiliated ASC, which offered gastroenterology, bariatric, general surgery, urology, podiatry and orthopedic procedures, did not disclose a reason for the closure.

Previously affiliated surgeons will now operate at Rocky Mountain Laser & Surgery Center in Pueblo, Colo., which is also affiliated with AmSurg.
Becker’s has reached out to AmSurg for comment and will update the story if more information becomes available.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
