1. The acquisition marks Sheridan’s first entry into the emergency medicine specialty in the Phoenix market.

2. PEMS is comprised of 49 physicians who provide emergency services for Chandler Regional Medical Center and Mercy Gilbert Medical Center, both located in Arizona.

3. The PEMS emergency group is AmSurg-Sheridan’s third hospital-based specialty in Arizona in addition to Sheridan’s existing anesthesia and neonatal hospital practices.

4. The three specialty practices serve more than 50 Arizona hospitals and ASCs.

5. AmSurg owns and operates nearly 253 ASCs and provides physician services to more than 360 healthcare facilities in 27 states.
