Alaska Surgery Center Receives Licensure, Opens

The Surgery Center of Fairbanks (Alaska) opened on Saturday, a 14,000-square-foot building with two operating rooms, six pre-op rooms and 16 recovery rooms, according to a Fairbanks Daily News-Miner report.

The center is owned by 11 physicians and private investors. President Mark Wade, MD, an orthopedic surgeon, led the center’s licensure by the state health department several weeks ago, according to the report.
