Here’s what you should know:
1. Administrators broke ground on the center in the spring of 2017.
2. The center has performed about 295 procedures since its August opening.
3. The center features six operating rooms, 23 preoperative and postoperative recovery rooms, a physical therapy room and an eight-seat patient alcove.
4. Mary O’Connor, MD, was named the center’s inaugural director.
5. The center will perform same-day orthopedic procedures, including spine surgeries.
