6 recent ASC acquisition & affiliation agreements

Here are six recently announced or completed ambulatory surgery center industry affiliation and acquisition agreements.

AmSurg announced in May plans to acquire anesthesia provider Sheridan Healthcare and now the company has closed the $2.35 billion deal.

Davis (Calif.) Surgery Center and UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento, Calif., have created an affiliation agreement that allows UC Davis orthopedic surgeons to perform cases at the surgery center.

Orlando Health/USP Surgery Centers acquired a 51 percent interest in University Surgical Center in Winter Park, Fla. Orlando Health partners with United Surgical Partners International in ownership of the surgery center.

As part of the Symbion acquisition, Chicago-based Surgery Partners will purchase the Honolulu Spine Center for $5.82 million.
 
United Surgical Partners International acquired a 55 percent interest in Somerset Ambulatory Surgery Center in Somerville, N.J.
