The following hospitals and health systems have announced or opened ASCs in the past month.
1. Mercy Health, based in Chesterfield, Mo., has opened Mercy Clinic Pediatrics-Mid Rivers, an outpatient pediatric facility.
2. Dallas-based Texas Health Resources has contracted to build an ambulatory surgical center on its Presbyterian Rockwall campus.
3. St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Chicago has filed an application with the Illinois Health Facilities and Services Review Board for a $300 million project.
4. Milwaukee-based Aurora Health Care has received approval from the Burlington City Council to build an outpatient surgery center in Burlington, Wis.
5. Frisbie Memorial Hospital in Rochester, N.H., has broken ground on a 16,000-square-foot surgery center.
