- 25-bed critical access facility Herington (Kan.) Hospital has closed its doors, citing financial troubles and low patient volumes.
- La Grange, Texas-based St. Mark’s Medical Center will shutter Oct. 12 due to financial issues. The hospital can no longer sustain its $13 million of mortgage debt as revenue declines.
- Six clinics run by the recently closed WIlliamston, N.C.-based Martin General Hospital will close.
- HCA Healthcare closed New Richey, Fla.-based HCA Florida Trinity West Hospital, which was previously temporarily closed, and consolidated services to two nearby hospitals.
- West Reading, Pa.-based Tower Health sold eight urgent care centers and will close five others. The centers are being sold to Birmingham, Ala.-based American Family Care Network.
