Pottstown, Pa.-based Pottstown Medical Specialists, a physician-owned multispecialty group, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy Aug. 30 in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.

Founded in 1978, the practice has grown from an internal medicine office into a multispecialty group with five primary care offices in Collegeville, Stowe, Royersford, Boyertown and Pottstown, serving patients in Berks and Montgomery counties in southeastern Pennsylvania.
