4 points on Syracuse Orthopedic Specialists meeting patient demand through its orthopedic-driven ASC

In 2002, Syracuse Orthopedic Specialists opened an ambulatory surgery center to meet patient demand for outpatient hand and wrist surgeries, according to MD News.

Here are four points:

1. Since its 2002 inception, the Specialists One-Day Surgery has expanded to six outpatient surgery rooms, a pain management suite, an acute recovery room and a phase II recovery area. The ASC also houses pre- and post-op areas and waiting rooms.

2. The center's surgeons have perfumed more than 130,000 operations since it opened.

3. Each day, surgeons perform nearly 60 orthopedic procedures.

4. Various surgeons staff the center including:
•    John F. Fatti, MD
•    Nathan G. Everding, MD
•    Daniel J. Murphy, MD
•    J. Alan Lemley, MD
•    Walter H. Short, MD

"There's a tremendous sense of pride that comes from being part of a large, growing organization that serves the needs of Central New York," Dr. Fatti said.
