4 new joint venture ASCs — July & August 2015

Here are four new joint venture ASCs announced or opened in the past two months.

UMass Memorial Health proposed to build a new facility in a vacant lot in Shrewsbury, Mass. The new surgery center will be a joint venture with Shields Health Care Group of Quincy.

Oneida (N.Y.) Healthcare, Hamilton (N.Y.) Orthopedic Surgery, Genesee Orthopedics & Plastic Surgery Associates in New Hartford, N.Y., and Spine & Skeletal Pain Medicine in Utica, N.Y., opened the Apex Surgical Center in Westmoreland, N.Y., as a joint venture ASC.

Rush University Medical Center and Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush, both in Chicago, have proposed building a new ambulatory care center in Oak Brook, Ill.

Hopkins Country Memorial Hospital in Sulphur Springs, Texas, and CHRISTUS Health could collaborate on a new ASC.
