1. Arise Healthcare is developing a new surgery center in Kyle, Texas, which includes orthopedics, urology, general surgery, spine and pain management.
2. A new surgery center for Sutter Health is set to open this summer in Elk Grove, Calif., and expects physicians to perform approximately 1,250 procedures in the first year.
3. Avera Health, based on South Dakota, has broken ground on a new medical center in Worthington, Minn., that will include an outpatient surgery center.
4. A new outpatient medical complex in Hyannis, Mass., includes a surgery center.
5. Greensboro, N.C.-based Cone Health plans to submit a new application to develop an ambulatory surgery center at its MedCenter High Point (N.C.) facility.
6. Houston-based Methodist Orthopedics & Sports Medicine has opened a new advanced hand center at its Willowbrook campus that will include a surgery center opening in late spring.
7. Construction has begun on a new ambulatory care facility that will include a surgery center in Irvine, Calif.
8. The University of Maryland Medical System has agreed to acquire St. Joseph Medical Center in Towson, Md., and plans to turn it into a surgery center.
9. Drew Memorial Hospital in Monticello, Ark., plans to build a new surgery center.
10. Rochester (N.Y.) General Health System plans to develop a new ambulatory surgery center in a Penfield, N.Y., building it will acquire with the purchase of Linden Oaks Medical Campus.
11. South Central Regional Medical Center in Laurel, Miss., is building a new cosmetic and plastic surgery center in Laurel, which is expected to open this summer.
12. Silverton (Ore.) Health is developing a new ambulatory surgery center for its Woodburn (Ore.) Health Center where physicians will perform orthopedic surgery, tonsillectomies, hernia repairs and other procedures.
