12 new ASCs in April 2018

Here are 12 new ASCs that opened or were announced over the past month.

Longmont, Colo.-based physicians are teaming up to launch the Advanced Vision Surgery Center in Longmont, a two-OR facility focused on eye care and include Lasik procedures.

Compass Surgical Partners and Martin Health opened Stuart (Fla.) Surgery Center, a GI-focused ASC.

Goshen (Ind.) Health opened a new outpatient surgery center focused on GI, orthopedics, sports medicine, pain management and general surgery.

Advanced Surgical Center of Boerne (Texas) opened a new ASC and completed its first total joint replacement there on April 7. The two-OR facility was developed as a partnership between physicians and SurgCenter Development.

Twin Cities Orthopedics opened a location in Eagan, Minn., with an ASC that has seven surgical suites. The 26,000-square-foot facility is adjacent to the practice’s Viking Lakes headquarters.

Surgical Care Affiliates partnered with Annapolis, Md.-based Anne Arundel Medical Center to open two outpatient surgery centers in early 2019. The ASCs will focus on orthopedic and gynecological services, with at least one including total joint replacements and spine.

Supply, N.C.-based Novant Health Brunswick Endoscopy Center is set to open May 2 as the first freestanding endoscopy center in Brunswick County.

Pain Specialists of Southern Oregon plan to open a new ASC, Crater Lake Surgery Center, in Medford, Ore., later this summer.

Clinton, S.C.-based Palmetto Bone & Joint opened a new $9 million facility in Chapin, S.C., which includes an outpatient surgery center.

Edmonds (Wash.) Orthopedic Center physicians plan to open a hip and knee replacement-focused outpatient center in the coming months.

Lafayette Pain Care opened a pain center and freestanding ASC in a former renovated Walgreens building in downtown Kokomo, Ind.

Bismarck (N.D.) Surgical Associates is planning a new development that includes an ASC.
