$11M surgery center opens in Minnesota — 5 insights

Willmar, Minn.-based Carris Health opened its $11 million outpatient surgery center in Willmar, the West Central Tribune reports.

Here's what you should know.

1. The surgery center plans to hold a grand opening May 17.

2. The first procedures will occur sometime in May.

3. The surgery center was built to replace a 1980s-era facility.

4. Carris performs 7,000 procedures in the outpatient setting annually.

5. Approximately 37 physicians expect to perform procedures at the surgery center.
