Surgical and implant management company Access MediQuip has received provisional accreditation in utilization management from URAC.
Access MediQuip is among only a few organizations to receive the accreditation. Last year the company received the health network accreditation.
The URAC health utilization management standards show the organization is fair and equitable for patients, providers, purchasers, regulators and employers. The measurements ensure clinical personnel are appropriately trained and oversee the utilization review process; there are reasonable and timely appeals; and medical decisions are based on valid clinical criteria.
