Tufts Medical Center wins UHC’s Quality Leadership Award: 4 highlights

The University HealthSystem Consortium honored Tufts Medical Center in Boston with the Bernard A. Birnbaum, MD, Quality Leadership Award.

Here are four highlights:

1. The UHC analyzes academic medical systems’ quality, efficiency and patient safety data.

2. Tufts Medical is one of 13 other academic medical centers receiving the five-star ranking and Quality Leadership Award.

3. NYU Langone Medical Center, Rush University Medical Center and Mayo Clinic Hospital-Rochester also received the award, among others.

4. Tufts Medical is a nonprofit academic medical center with 415 beds.

“Our nurses and all patient-care staff are laser-focused on patients’ experience, and we have a proud tradition of research and innovation around quality,” said Therese Hudson-Jinks, RN, MSN, chief nursing officer and senior vice president of patient care services.
