“The Champion’s Kit” was developed by APIC in partnership with the Safe Care Campaign and funded by a health education grant from PDI (Professional Disposables International).
APIC defines a champion as “an individual who actively engages in infection prevention best practices and encourages colleagues to do the same” and says a champion’s top priority is “protecting patients by reducing the risk of infection.”
Resources in The Champion’s Kit include the following:
- “Be a Champion” video
- The Champion’s Kit implementation guide
- Champion’s Kit posters
- Tips for prevention
- Checklists and templates
