Senate Democrats scolded Republicans on June 30, saying they shouldn't head out on a seven-week recess without finalizing funding to fight the Zika virus, according to The Hill.

Here are four things to know:

1. The senators only have a few weeks to reach a deal regarding the funding.

2. Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) put a redo vote on Zika funding on the schedule for next week.

3. Passage of the funding bill does not seem likely.

4. The summer recess commences in mid-July and ends on Sept. 6.
