SCA launches website for hand hygiene — 5 notes

Surgical Care Affiliates created Tork Healthy Hands, a website dedicated to hand hygiene, according to McKnight's.

Here are five notes:

1. In a SCA survey, 93 percent of healthcare facility patients and visitors stated hand hygiene is more important in healthcare than other settings.

2. Nearly three-quarters of respondents are concerned about obtaining a healthcare associated infection.

3. SCA launched Tork Healthy Hands in conjunction with the survey. The survey was conducted by Ipos Public Affairs on commission by SCA from April 3, 2015 to April 6, 2015. More than 1,000 people responded to the survey.

4. The website has a variety of hand hygiene insights, statistics and reminders as well as a selection of visual designs.

5. To stay up-to-date, the site will be regularly refreshed. It will feature signage on hand hygiene for long-term care facilities.
