Redmond Regional Medical Center excels in patient safety, wins award: 5 notes

Rome, Ga.-based Redmond Regional Medical Center received the Partnership for Health and Accountability’s Quality and Patient Safety Award, according to Northwest Georgia News.

1. Redmond Medical received the award for its project enhancing the safety of infusion medications.

2. The project was called, “Improving IV Pump Safety and Effectiveness of Alarms — A Hospital-Wide Initiative.”

3. The project placed first in the “Hospitals with 100 to 299 Beds” category.

4. Redmond Medical also received its eighth Circle of Excellence Award, which represents the medical center’s dedication to quality and patient safety.

5. The medical center is the only Georgia hospital to receive the Circle of Excellence Award for eight consecutive years.
