Physician-owned hospital receives patient experience award

A physician-owned hospital in Ohio has received a 2019 Press Ganey Guardian of Excellence Award, according to the Springfield News-Sun.

The Ohio Valley Surgical Hospital in Springfield, Ohio, received the award for being in or above the 95th percentile for patient experience. The hospital opened in 2009 and has a staff of over 300 people.

Fifty surgeons operate at the hospital, representing 12 specialties. Physicians at the hospital perform 12,000 surgeries a year on average.
