The Hand Hygiene/Glove Use Observation Tool was designed to aid surveillance of hand hygiene and glove use in healthcare facilities. Infection control leaders charged with surveillance are able to check ‘yes’ or ‘no’ if a staff member has or has not washed their hands/used gloves before or after specific events, such as handling objects and devices such as soiled linen, trash and equipment.

Download the Hand Hygiene/Glove Use Observation Tool (doc) for adaptation and use in your facility.
