Patient Safety Tool: CDC's Safe Patient Injections Training Presentation

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Safe Injection Practices Coalition offer a free training presentation on safe injection practices.

The presentation is a supplement to the required annual bloodborne pathogens training for physicians, nurses, technicians and other healthcare providers. The training includes background on the importance of safe injection practices and best practices for ensuring patient and worker safety when giving injections.

This tool is one of the new educational resources on injection practices CDC and the Safe Injection Practices Coalition recently released.
