Patient Safety Tool: CDC's Insulin Injections Brochure & Poster

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Safe Injection Practices Coalition offer a free brochure and poster on the proper use of insulin pens for diabetes patients.

The brochure and poster emphasize the danger of sharing insulin pens. The materials were created through SIPC's One & Only Campaign, which educates providers and patients on the safety standard of using one needle, one syringe, only one time.

Download the brochure and poster for use in your own facility.
