According to Zika disease experts, only pregnant women and people planning to start a family need to fear the virus, Yahoo! Sports reports.

Here are five takeaways:

1. This statement comes in response to golfer Rory McIlroy’s withdrawal from the Olympic Games.

2. Andrew Freedman, infectious disease researcher at Cardiff University in England, said Mr. McIlroy’s withdrawal was an overreaction.

3. Jimmy Whitworth, an international public health professor at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, said various reports project of the nearly 500,000 Olympic athletes and attendees, Zika will only infect approximately 10 people to 20 people.

4. According to the World Health Organization, the risk of Zika spreading further internationally as a result of the Olympics is very low.

5. Researchers advise pregnant women not travel to Rio de Janeiro at all, and those considering a baby, who do not fall ill, should delay conception for two months after their return home.
