1. The database won't collect data such as patient outcomes, safety or satisfaction. Instead, the database will collect information from patient safety culture surveys.
2. The HHS' Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality said they developed the survey "in response to interest from ambulatory surgery centers in assessing patient safety culture in their facilities."
3. AHRQ also said the survey is "designed specifically for ASC staff and asks for their opinions about the culture of patient safety in their facility."
