Green Bay Infection Prevention Coordinator Receives APIC Award

Nancy Lorenzoni, coordinator of infection prevention at St. Nicolas, St. Mary's and St. Vincent Hospitals in Green Bay, Wis., received the 2011 Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology Chapter Leadership Award from the Northwestern Wisconsin Board of Directors and APIC Nominating and Awards Committee, according to a Sheboygan Press report.

The award was given to Ms. Lorenzoni for her achievements in developing members and advancing APIC, according to the report. APIC is focused on improving patient safety through reducing the risks of infection and complications.
