Contamination was found in three lots of injectable betamethasone and one lot of cardioplegia solution. So far, the federal government has not reported any infections linked to these lots and is not changing its recommendations for diagnosing and treating patients who have received NECC products.

Over the course of the last several months, federal agencies have confirmed contaminated epidural steroid injections manufactured at NECC are linked to a meningitis outbreak that has injected hundreds of patients and killed 29.
