Company behind PURELL Hand Sanitizer works to raise patient safety awareness

GOJO Industries, a hand hygiene company and inventor of PURELL Hand Sanitizer, has joined the National Patient Safety Foundation in an effort to promote awareness during Patient Safety Awareness Week.

“In the healthcare industry, everyone plays a role in patient safety,” said David Mackay, GOJO vice president sales and marketing, healthcare. “Hand hygiene is one of the most effective ways to prevent the spread of infections in healthcare settings. At GOJO, Patient Safety Awareness Week provides us with the opportunity to discuss the importance of hand hygiene and its impact on patient safety.”

Patient Safety Awareness Week is March 8 to March 14.
