Here are four key notes:
1. The organizations wanted to bring healthcare to Colorado patients living in rural, mountain communities who have no access to healthcare.
2. Script Adviser offers services via the Internet to healthcare providers seeking additional consultations on complicated medical conditions.
3. The partnership hopes these Colorado residents will no longer need to travel to metro areas for care by catching serious diseases early on with the more convenient telemedicine services.
4. Anthem additionally entered a partnership with Script Adviser so Anthem’s Enhanced Personal Health Care physicians could also use the medical practice’s services when treating patients.
“Anthem’s partnership with Script Adviser allows primary care physicians to have immediate real-time video consultations on complex cases that will improve patients’ health and lower the cost of care,” said Elizabeth Kraft, MD, senior clinical officer for Anthem in Colorado.
