AAPS’ concern over AMA’s informed consent

The American Medical Association voted to lobby legislatures to end all nonmedical exemptions to mandated vaccines.

Jane M. Orient, MD, executive director of the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons sees this as the AMA ignoring “the principle that patients may not be subjected to treatment without their informed consent.”

“Sacrificing the important principle of informed consent has implications far beyond vaccination,” Dr. Orient warned. “It is a matter of concern whatever your view of vaccines.”
