98% of ASCs in ASCQR Met Requirements

CMS has announced 98 percent of ambulatory surgery centers participating in the Ambulatory Surgical Center Quality Reporting Program have met the program’s requirements and will receive a full annual payment update for the 2014 calendar year.

The full annual payment update for 2014 will be 1.8 percent.

ASCs that did not meet the ASCQR requirements will experience a 2 percent reduction in annual payments for calendar year 2014. CMS will accept ASCQR reconsideration request forms submitted to the support contractor until March 17, 2014.
