77% of Medicare patients give providers high ratings — 5 takeaways

An Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality report found Medicare patients gave their physicians the highest ratings in 2015, according to Family Practice News.

Here are five takeaways:

1. In 2015, 77 percent of Medicare recipients rated their physicians a nine or 10 on a 10-point scale.

2. Of Children’s Health Insurance Program beneficiaries, 73 percent gave their physician the highest rating (nine or a 10).

3. Sixty-four percent of adult Medicaid patients rated their physician a nine or a 10.

4. Of Medicare patients, 72 percent gave specialists a nine or a 10, compared to 70 percent for CHIP and Medicaid.  

5. Sixty-four percent of adult Medicaid patients gave their specialist the highest rating.
