3 things to know about West Hill Surgery Center's quality initiatives

West Hills (Calif.) Surgical Center, founded in 1996, has over 90 physicians on staff.

Three things to know about the center's quality initiatives:

1. . The nursing staff is certified in advanced cardiac and pediatric life support. The center’s medical director is David Fung, MD.

2. The center is certified by Medicare and accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care.

3. The West Hills Surgical Center measures clinical performance through satisfaction surveys, peer review and quality improvement. To prepare patients for surgery, the center provides links to dozens of procedure fact sheets on its website.
