Where in the US are physicians paid the most? 10 statistics

TheStreet analyzed data from ZipRecruiter and Medscape to rank where in the U.S. physicians are paid the most in 2018, on average.

Here are the top five and bottom five states that pay physicians the most and the least, respectively:

Highest paying:
1. Indiana - $334,000
2. Oklahoma - $330,000
3. Connecticut - $329,000
4. Wisconsin - $327,000
5. Nevada - $323,000

Lowest paying:
1. Maryland - $256,000
2. New Mexico - $261,000
3. Hawaii - $268,000
4. Massachusetts - $275,000
5. Michigan - $277,000
