What kind of cars do physicians drive 

Eighteen percent of physicians drive Toyotas, according to Medscape’s Jan. 20 “Lifestyle and Happiness Report 2023.”

Medscape’s survey looked at 9,200 physicians across 29 different specialties. 

Here are the brands of cars that physicians are driving:

  • Toyota: 18 percent
  • Honda: 14 percent
  • BMW: 10 percent
  • Subaru: 9 percent
  • Ford: 9 percent
  • Mercedes-Benz: 8 percent
  • Lexus: 8 percent
  • Tesla: 7 percent
  • Audi: 7 percent
  • Chevrolet: 5 percent 
  • Jeep: 5 percent 
  • Acura: 4 percent
  • Nissan: 3 percent
  • Porsche: 3 percent
  • Volvo: 3 percent
  • Hyundai: 3 percent
  • Mazda: 3 percent 
  • Volkswagen: 3 percent
  • GMC: 2 percent
  • Dodge: 2 percent
  • Kia: 2 percent
  • Land Rover: 2 percent
  • Cadillac: 2 percent
