The new ranking will evaluate ASCs in four specialty areas: gastroenterology, urology, ophthalmology, and orthopedics and spine, according to a Nov. 28 news release from U.S. News & World Report.
CareJourney, a healthcare analytics platform, will be the data partner for the rankings. This will allow readers to consider each ASC’s rate of emergency room visits and excess costs from avoidable complications.
The rankings are planned to be released in the second quarter of 2024.
At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
