UnityAI has created StaffOps, an AI-driven workforce management platform designed to align outpatient staffing with patient demand, according to an April 28 Digital Health News report.
The platform is deployed across approximately 120 care sites and integrates with EHR and human resources systems to provide real-time visibility into appointments.
StaffOps uses this data to adjust staffing levels, helping providers move away from fixed scheduling models that can lead to overstaffing or shortages. The system evaluates staff availability, credentials and preferences alongside patient volumes to generate optimized schedules, the report said.
The platform also includes self-service tools for clinicians to manage shifts and time-off requests, and enables administrators to identify and fill staffing gaps. UnityAI is expanding its AI capabilities to automate routine staffing decisions through voice and SMS.
UnityAI was founded by former leaders and data scientists at Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA Healthcare.
