Unifeye Vision Partners, a Dallas-based operator of ASCs and ophthalmology practices, has appointed Mark Garvin as CEO. He succeeds Martin Rash, who will remain with the company as executive chairman.

Mr. Garvin previously held senior leadership roles at Phoenix-based Banner Health and Dallas-based United Surgical Partners International, where he spent nearly 20 years helping expand the ASC business into one of the nation’s largest operators, according to a Sept. 29 system news release.

Mr. Garvin will focus on ASC growth, operations and physician recruitment while expanding patient access and enhancing care delivery across UVP’s markets, according to the release.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
