Mississippi is expected to have the lowest physician competition for job positions by 2032, according to a March 18 report from personal finance website WalletHub.
Mississippi was also named the highest paying state for physicians when factoring in the average cost of living.
WalletHub collected physician employment data from a number of sources, including the U.S. Census Bureau, the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the Council for Community and Economic Research, the Health Resources & Services Administration, the Association of American Medical Colleges, and more.
