Stamford Outpatient Center, Hospital for Special Surgery welcome Dr. Daphne Scott — 4 points

New York-based Hospital for Special Surgery and its outpatient clinic, Stamford Outpatient Center, added sports medicine physician Daphne Scott, MD, to its team, according to Darien Daily Voice.

Here are four points:

1. Dr. Scott's pediatrician inspired her to pursue a career in medicine, and Dr. Scott strongly advises aspiring physicians find a mentor to help them through the journey to becoming a physician.

2. Dr. Scott earned her medical degree from the University of Nevada in Reno.

3. Following medical school, she underwent her sports medicine residency at the University of Washington in Seattle.

4. Dr. Scott went on to complete her sports medicine fellowship at the University of Arizona in Tucson.
