Carbondale-based Southern Illinois Health is planning a three-story medical office building to consolidate physician practices and outpatient clinics, according to a Sept. 18 report from The Southern Illinoisan.
The 57,416-square-foot center will consolidate services and practices that are currently spread across nine locations in Marion and Herrin, Ill.
The project, which is estimated to cost about $33 million, was recently approved by the Illinois Health Facilities and Services Review Board.
The MOB will provide services including cardiovascular pulmonology, gastroenterology, and pain management.
The organization expects construction to take about 13 months, with occupancy planned for early 2028, the report said.
