Saint Francis Healthcare to close surgery center

Cape Girardeau, Mo.-based Saint Francis Healthcare System is closing a Missouri surgery center.

The health system is closing Physicians Alliance Surgery Center in Cape Girardeau effective May 31, according to a May 8 news release.

All surgeries that are scheduled at the center will be transitioned to Saint Francis Medical Center. 

Saint Francis Healthcare System is working with providers to identify other employment opportunities within the health system, the release said.
