When it comes to the state of business in 2025, over one-quarter of ASCs report doing “just OK” headed into 2025, according to a February report from Outpatient Surgery Magazine.
The magazine surveyed 101 outpatient surgery leaders between December and January, posing the question, “Which statement best describes the state of your business going into 2025?”
Here is how ASC leaders responded to five key statements:
“We’re in great shape:” 23%
“We’re in good shape, but:” 44%
“We’re just doing OK:” 28%
“We’re not doing great:” 3%
“We’re potentially in trouble:” 2%
Some of the common struggles ASC leaders reported included staffing issues, added regulations, increased workload and payer conflicts.
