Operations resume at Crane Creek Surgery Center following Hurricane Irma — 4 insights

First Choice Healthcare released a statement saying none of its seven facilities, including Melbourne, Fla.-based Crane Creek Surgery Center, experienced structural damage in the wake of Hurricane Irma, but has reopened.

1. Crane Creek resumed operations at its seven facilities.

2. Crane Creek President and CEO Chris Romandetti said the health system is in the process of rescheduling elective surgical cases. The system is experiencing overcrowding because of the storm.

3. Mr. Romandetti anticipates the health system will resume a normal caseload the week of Sept. 18.

4. The health system released a statement saying, “Our hearts go out to all those affected by the devastation caused by Hurricane Irma and we are committed to providing support to our employees who sustained irreparable damage during this storm.”
