The Oklahoma House is considering the passage of The Oklahoma Health Care Cost Reduction and Transparency Act of 2014 (HB 2400), which would require Oklahoma ASCs to submit pricing information to the state health department for the 100 most common diagnostic and surgical procedures and 50 most common imaging procedures. The information would be posted on the state health department’s website and updated on at least an annual basis, according to the report.
The Idaho House is considering bill HB 497, which would create a state pricing database accessible online to consumers. The database would list pricing information for the 50 most common procedures performed at both hospitals and ASCs statewide.
